7300. Perspectives on Civilian Law: From the United States to Latin America via Europe

Students will explore the civilian legal system of Latin America besides that of Continental Europe. They will view it, in the company of virtual guests from the foreign regions at hand, through the lens of the United States model. The course will foreground several fields: to wit, constitutional, civil, procedural, and commercial law. It will study them with an eye on the role of codification alongside human rights within them.
