The curriculum at the UConn School of Law conforms to American Bar Association Standards for Approval of Law Schools by offering a rigorous program of legal education that prepares its students, upon graduation, for admission to the bar and for effective, ethical, and responsible participation as members of the legal profession. The depth and breadth of courses reflect the expertise of our acclaimed faculty. Courses are offered in a most areas of the law and in varying formats including lecture, seminar, clinic/practicum and independent study. To keep pace with the ever-changing legal landscape, the course catalog is in a constant state of renewal mixing foundational courses with new offerings. Course descriptions are updated upon the request and approval of the faculty.
