Students work collaboratively on the clinic's cases. Opportunities include: reviewing trial files and transcripts, conducting research, writing legal memoranda, and outlining, writing, editing, and filing briefs, as well as preparing for and delivering oral arguments and participating in student and prosecuting attorney moots. Students may have the additional opportunity to argue in the Connecticut Supreme or Appellate Court. Students who enroll in this clinic will be subject to a criminal background check which must be completed before matriculation. Criminal Procedure is a prerequisite; Evidence is recommended.
